Look and Live

People are saved when they simply "Look and Live". "Look and Live" is another form of Sola Fida, Faith Alone. "Look and Live" is aka "Easy Believism". "Look and Live" is salvation in it's purist form.

"Look and Live" is based on Numbers 21 where the Children of Israel murmured against God. They said, we have no bread... and we hate this LITE bread.

You can't have NO bread and in the same breath say you hate this LITE bread. That made God angry. God sent fiery serpents into the camp to bite people and many people died.

The Children of Israel went to Moses and acknowledged their sin. They asked Moses to pray to the Lord and have him take away the serpents. Moses did that and then God responded saying... tell the people to say they're sorry... tell the people they need to turn from their sins, they need to stop sinning, they need to try to sin less, they need to do good works, they need to make disciples.

Uh... that's not what God told Moses to do.

God told Moses to create a serpent of brass, put it on a pole and then walk around the camp telling people to look at the serpent. That was their salvation. Simply, LOOK AND LIVE!

Salvation is faith that simply does what God tells you to do to have eternal life or everlasting life... Look and Live. The Children of Israel were saved by their faith because they simply Looked. Those who chose not to look died.

Salvation has always been as easy as Look and Live. Easy Believism IS Salvation.

John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness (that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life), even so must the Son of man be lifted up 15 that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life...

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Look and Live is Salvation.

Easy Believism is Salvation.

Sola Fide is Salvation.

Faith Alone is Salvation.

Believing on Him is Salvation.

Salvation is not works that you do. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith and NOT that of yourselves. Salvation is the gift of God. (Faith is not the gift of God.) Salvation is NOT of works (like making disciples) lest any man should boast.

Nobody will be in heaven boasting to God: I repented of my sins! I made disciples! I had good works! I went to church! I changed my life!

When FBC JAX started their television ministry they incorporated in 1977 and put the assets of the television ministry under a corporation called Look and Live. There used to be men of God at FBC JAX who understood salvation is simply Look and Live... salvation is Easy Believism... salvation is simply Faith Alone plus nothing minus nothing. No works required. Look and Live, Inc is no more. FBC JAX has another gospel that is not the gospel. They have the gospel of Calvinism.

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Faith is the only thing that makes you righteous before God.

The serpent on the pole represented Jesus on the cross. The serpent represented the sins of the people. Jesus was the serpent on the cross... 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

When the Children of Israel looked at the serpent on the cross they became "born again" just as Jesus told Nicodemus... you must be born again... Nicodemus had to look at the serpent. He had to look to the cross. He had to look to Jesus as his Savior and believe on him. Then he would've been saved. The bible never uses language indicating Nicodemus was ever saved.

The last mention of Nicodemus was that he did a good work. He donated the spices used to bury Jesus. John 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.

That good work did not save Nicodemus because he did not Look and Live.
